My Newborn Essentials
(I'll include links to where you can buy them!)
*Muslin Cloths
I know it goes without saying that you buy these things but honestly they are a god send. I literally used them for everything;
-to wipe up sick
-to cover me whilst I breastfed
-to keep Ewan warm if I'd rushed out and forgotten a thin blanket in the process
-to blow Evie's nose
They are so useful to have to hand at all times and I dread to think what I'd have done without them. I'd definitely recommend paying just that little bit more for some softer ones but then we also found the Sainsbury's ones were fab and so affordable.

There will be certain times when using the pram just isn't an option or times when your newborn just doesn't want to be put down put you are at that point where a cuppa is a need not a want. Those are times the carrier will be a god send. I found it so much easier to use the carrier when I wanted my hands free or didn't need all the kit and caboodle that I'd usually load onto the pram.
I've not linked a carrier because there are honestly so many different types and I thinks it a very personal thing as to how you want it to fasten, how supportive you want it to be, things like that. There are so many forums and reviews though!
* The Angelcare Bath Support
If like me you have a long, big baby you'll find that within weeks his head touches one end of the baby bath and his feet touch the other. Not to mention all the water that spills over the edges as you put him in. The bath support was exactly what we needed, it was still soft but very supportive as Ewan was still fairly new and didn't have tonnes of head control but it meant we could put him in the actual bath. It has lasted him up until recently when he could sit himself up and would often decide to fling himself out of the support! So we definitely got our moneys worth.
